ISME offers a range of grants and awards. The grants are to support programs and the awards are to support members attending the world conference.
ISME grants
The ISME Grants Program offers multiple grants, including sponsored grants that focus on specific themes or regions of the world. ISME grants also vary in the amount and duration of funding provided.
In overview the grants are:
- ISME-NAMM Foundation Community Music Development Grants - currently not open
- ISME-SEMPRE Music Education Research Grants - currently not open
- ISME-Gregory Brown Youth Music Development Grants - currently not open
- ISME Project Development Grants - currently not open
- ISME Partnership Development Grants - currently not open

World Conference Awards
Normally ISME offers a number of awards which provide funding for travel and sustenance for those who would benefit from financial assistance to attend and present at the World Conference.
For the 2022 virtual conference these have been changed to provide free registration to selected students, first time attendees and members from Low PPP countries. More information and the online application form for the 2022 world conference awards can be found here. These awards should be applied for before registering.
In normal years, the world conference awards are as follows:

- ISME World Conference Awards - not available in 2022
- Steve Dillon ISME World Conference Award - not available in 2022
