Dr. Yan Lam HO is a Post-doctoral Fellow in the Academy for Educational Development and Innovation at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK). She completed the Doctor of Education (EdD) in Early Childhood Education in August 2024. Her dissertation portfolio explores the music pedagogical practices in Hong Kong kindergartens. She holds a Master of Arts in Music Education (MAME) with distinction and dean's honour list, and a Bachelor of Education (Music). Dr. HO is interested in music education, music psychology, music pedagogical practices, and teacher professional development in early childhood. Her work has been published in mainstream education journals, such as Research Studies in Music Education and Australasian Journal of Early Childhood. She has given presentations at various international and local conferences in music education, such as World Conference for the International Society for Music Education (ISME) and Asia-Pacific Symposium for Music Education Research (APSMER). Dr. HO is a member of the International Society for Music Education. She also provided academic services such as serving as a Session Chair, Moderator, and Chair Assistant at conferences and seminars. Her major instrument is cello. She holds a Licentiate Diploma (LTCL) and Associate Diploma (ATCL) in Cello. She also likes to play piano and listen to music during her leisure time.
