On her return to Denmark in 2017, Helle joined Musik & Billedskolen, the local authority Music and Art Service in Varde, and was appointed Schools’ Coordinator and in 2021 Deputy Head of Service. Helle aims to make music accessible to all children and improve facilities with practice rooms and open spaces for students to access in their own time, an idea inspired from the UK.  Her work also focuses on how music schools and local authority schools can collaborate to raise standards of music education and ensure sustainable equal opportunity for all. Helle presented papers at the European Association of Music in Schools Conferences / ISME European Conferences in 2019 and 2021.
