Claudia Gluschankof is Associate Professor at Levinsky College of Education, Tel-Aviv, where besides her teaching at pregraduate and graduate level at the Early Childhood Department and Music Department, she served as researcher at the R & D Authority and as Coordinator of Studies at the School of Music (2002-2008). In addition to her teaching activity she served as member of and as head researcher for the Music Curriculum Committee of Israel and as council member of the Israeli Musicological Society (2009-2013). As the academic advisor at Beit Almusica Conservatory (Shafr-Amr, Israel), she is member of the team that develops new materials for Arabic speaking young children and preschool teachers. She has been involved with ISME -ECME commission in (2006-2012, chairing 2008-2010; 2016-2022), and serves in the review board of several international and national journals (IJME, RIEM, Min-Ad). Her research interests focus on the musical expressions of young children, particularly on the self-initiated play of young children in various cultural contexts, especially among Hebrew and Arabic speakers, as well as music teacher training. She was a researcher in Global Visions Through Mobilizing Networks: Co-Developing Intercultural Music Teacher Education in Finland, Israel and Nepal , a research project funded by the Academy of Finland (2015-2020). Claudia Gluschankof has presented her research at many international conferences (e.g. ISME, RIME, MERYC, ESCOM, CDIME) and her research has been published in various international and national peer review journals (e.g. Early Child Care and Development; Music Education Research; International Journal of Community Music; Arts Education Policy Review) and edited books (e.g. Children’s Home Musical Experiences Across the World; Early Childhood Music Education in the Mediterranean; Early Childhood in the Arab Society in Israel). She co-edited the book in Spanish «La música en educación infantil – investigación y práctica» together with Jessica Pérez-Moreno.
