Commission on Policy: Culture, Education and Media
Alethea de Villiers lectures music education and arts education at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, South Africa. She also lectures musicology and music history modules. She has extensive experience in the creative arts and professional development for teachers. She has written texts for schools and has published on music education policy. She is a reviewer for a number of South African accredited journals. Her research interests include citizenship education, education policy, multicultural education and ethnomusicology. She is an active member of ISME, SASRIM, SASMT and PANSA.
