Sondra Wieland Howe, PhD I am a self-employed teacher of piano and music theory, teaching in my home studio in Minnesota USA. I am on the Editorial Committees of the Journal of Historical Research in Music Education. My research interests include women and music, Western music in Japan, and the history of music education. My recent book is Women Music Educators in the United States: A History (2014).
