ISME Board Member 2020 - 2022 Keynote Speaker - ISME Legacy Conference in Istanbul, Turkey, 2019 Conference organiser - ISME's First South Asia Regional Conference, 2017 Sandra Oberoi founded Harmony - The Music School, in Bangalore, India over 12 years ago. Her students have won international vocal competitions and performed at The Carnegie Hall, gone on to pursue music degrees around the world, and regularly top India in their international music exams. Ms. Oberoi is the Choir Director of the award winning youth choir, The Harmony Chorus that placed in India’s Top 8 in a televised national level reality singing show - Rising Star. The choir has traveled across India performing at prestigious music festivals, and internationally to Russia, England and Scotland singing in some of the most prestigious venues. Equipped with a masters degree in Music Education and Performance from Northwestern University, U.S.A., and a Figure Proficiency Certificate from Estill Voice International, she has performed, presented and taught around India, the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Sweden and around the African continent. Notable performances include singing for Global Hope Festival to raise funds for WHO’s Covid 19 Solidarity Response Fund, at the World Paralympics opening ceremony, with the highest selling gospel artist Don Moen, representing India at the International Women's Conference in Nairobi and and performing on national radio and television. Ms. Oberoi has collaborated with international artists, organized several concerts and conferences. With her choir, she has raised funds and an awareness for the education of lesser privileged children, old age homes, orphanages, for mental health awareness and climate change. Her desire is to instill a love for the pursuit of musical excellence in young musicians, and encourage them to share their musical gifts for a greater good.
