Founder and Director of Harmony-the music school set up in 2008 in Bangalore, India, Sandra Oberoi continues to be a strong voice for music education for all while supporting students and mentioning young teachers to find their purpose through music. Her students have won international vocal competitions and performed at The Carnegie Hall, are pursuing professional music degrees around the world, and regularly top India in their international music exams. 

Sandra is committed to create and support relevant professional development opportunities for musicians, music teachers (pre-service and in-service) and mature learners in India and globally. Presently a doctoral student at UCL Institute of Education in London, she has a Masters in Music Education and Performance from Northwestern University, U.S.A., and a Figure Proficiency Certificate from Estill Voice International. She has performed, presented and taught in India and around the world on culturally responsive and culturally sustaining pedagogy, bridging the gap between Indian and Western music, changing voices and adolescent vocal health, singing and vocal health, creative and reflective music teaching.

Sandra is the Choir Director of the award winning youth choir, The Harmony Chorus that placed in the Top 8 of India on Rising Star - a national level reality singing show. The choir has traveled nationally and international as cultural ambassadors. With her choir, she continues to to engage in music outreach activities raising awareness and funds for lesser privileged children, differently abled children, senior homes, orphanages, mental health among youth and climate change. She desires to instil a love for meaningful music making, promoting peace and tolerance through the arts, and encouraging people to their musical gifts for a greater good.
