Dr. Le-Xuan Zhang is a research assistant professor at the Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK). She held a doctoral degree from EdUHK and a master degree from Boston Conservatory at Berklee. For practice, Le-Xuan is a Kodaly-certified teacher. She had seven years of K-12 teaching experience in USA and China and involved in leadership roles. For research, her interests are in interdisciplinary/transdisciplinary education, music education, Chinese education, and educational assessment. She published articles related to these topics. For the involvement in ISME, Le-Xuan served as one of the representatives at the ISME Student Chapter (now as Student Forum), supporting worldwide graduate students in exploring ISME, listening to shared experiences from senior researchers, and building connections. Currently, Le-Xuan is serving as one of the commissioners in Music in Schools and Teacher Education Commission. She will continue contributing herselves to support the effective teaching and learning of music in school settings.
