Dr. Kimberly VanWeelden, Professor of Music Education at Florida State University, United States of America, is a choral and general music specialist. She researches within the areas of students who need special support; geriatric vocal pedagogy, choral participation, and wellness; and music teacher/music therapist training. Her research has been published in leading national and international music education and music therapy journals. She has served as a Work Group Member (2014-2016), Commissioner (2016-2022), Chair-Elect (2018-2020), and Chair (2020-2022) of the Special Music Education and Music Therapy ISME Commission and is a past National Chair of the Children with Exceptionalities Special Research Interest Group of the National Association for Music Education in the USA.
