Post-Co-Chair of the ISME Commission on Policy: Culture, Education and Media Mimi Hung-Pai Chen is a researcher and Assistant Professor of the Graduate School of Arts and Humanities Instruction at National Taiwan University of Arts, Taiwan. She holds her PhD from the School of Education, RMIT University, Australia. Her research interests include music education policy, music teaching and learning, technology integrated education as well as the history of music and arts education. Dr Chen has published in a number of journals and books and contributed to national and international conferences generating a good number of publications. She has been invited as associate editor and paper reviewer for a range of journals and conferences. She builds and nurtures an international network of researchers in music education. Dr Chen was an active member of the Victorian Chapter Council of the Australian Society for Music Education (ASME) and the Young Professional Focus Group of the International Society for Music Education (ISME). She is now actively involved in the ISME Policy Commission and the ISME Music Technology Special Interest Group. She has been regularly invited to deliver addresses pertaining to her specialties and international experiences in schools and universities.
