Gbenga Falana is a musicologist, trumpeter, and versatile composer. He is currently pursuing his graduate studies in musical composition at the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, following his bachelor's degree in music with a specialization in theory and musical composition from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU).

As a music educator, he has worked with various educational institutions and religious organizations in different regions of Nigeria, including Lagos, Katsina, Ogun State, Ekiti State, and Kogi State. He is a Junior Research Fellow at IFRA-NIGERIA (French Institute for Research in Africa), and a member of the Society of Music Educators of Nigeria (SOMEN) and Lagos Studies Association (LSA).

Gbenga's previous role was as an Art Fellow (teaching assistant) at the Department of Music at Federal University Lokoja, where he played a key role in nurturing the students' singing abilities and enhancing their fundamental knowledge in music theory.

Beyond his musical pursuits, Gbenga has a diverse background, having served as an ADHOC staff (Presiding Officer) for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) during the 2019 general election in Katsina. He is also a committed volunteer for various organizations and community projects, including his active participation in the historic Africa Clean-up Initiative (Oshodi, 2012), a venture known for hosting large-scale environmental clean-up projects in Nigeria.

Gbenga's academic and musical interests encompass a broad range of topics, including Composition, Orchestration, Church Music, Music and Environmental Studies (ecomusicology), and broad studies in African Music.
