Andrew Kagumba holds a PhD in Music Education from Texas Tech University. He is completing another PhD in Ethnomusicology at The Memorial University of Newfoundland. Hailing from Uganda, Andrew's creative output is deeply influenced by the rich musical heritage of his Ganda culture. His passion lies in promoting multicultural understanding through the transformative power of music, guided by an inclusive philosophy.

 Andrew's teaching experience spans various educational levels, having taught at elementary, secondary, and college levels both in Uganda and the United States. His commitment to education and musical diversity has been recognized, as he was honored as the Music Educator of the Year in the 2023 by Music NL, the musician’s industry association for the province of Newfoundland and Labrador in Canada, and a finalist for the 2023 Arts in Education award by Arts NL, the Newfoundland and Labrador Arts Council.
