Nominations for President-Elect and Members at Large of the ISME Board of Directors now closed

Nominations are now closed for candidates for President-Elect and Members at Large of the ISME Board of Directors 2022-24. These roles will commence at the General Assembly to be held in July 2022.

These are highly responsible roles and nominees must:

  • Possess personal and professional attributes that are in line with the ideals of the society
  • Be willing to undertake a leadership role in the governance and activities of the society
  • Be able to work cooperatively with individuals and groups
  • Be willing and able to allocate the necessary time to the office which is: President-Elect: six years (i.e., two years as President-Elect, two years as President, and two years as Past President); and Member-At-Large: two years

Nominees should also be aware that, if elected, they are required to attend a Board meeting on the Saturday immediately following the world conference.

To nominate an individual the following must have provided:

  • An agreement to stand, completed by the individual
  • A curriculum vitae for each candidate, detailing, at minimum, their professional employment history and their involvement with ISME and with national or other major music education associations
  • Personal statement (why they wish to serve, what they bring to the role)
  • A recent photo (a good quality head and shoulder passport style photo)

These documents are provided to the review committee and then to membership to inform their vote.
