WILLIAM I. BAUER is Professor and Director of the Online MM in Music Education program in the School of Music of the University of Florida. Dr. Bauer is the author of Music Learning Today: Digital Pedagogy for Creating, Performing, and Responding to Music (2nd edition) published by Oxford University Press. He is also the founder and editor of the Research Informed Music Learning (RIML) book series. His research and pedagogical writings appear in prominent journals and book chapters published in and outside of music education. Bauer has presented at numerous conferences and other events throughout the U.S. and internationally. His primary scholarly interests include applications of technology to music learning, creative thinking in music, music teacher education, and lifelong musicking. Currently, Dr. Bauer is the editor of Research Perspectives in Music Education.
