I have taught general music across PK-8th grade with a specialization in world music. I held Board Certification as a Music Therapist for 32 years bringing that experience into music education. I have taught in Wisconsin and Washington state, in urban schools with high immigrant and English language learner populations. I have been teaching in Higher Ed for 17 years at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and now, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I received my PhD from the University of Washington.
