Rokuono Neihu is from Kohima, Nagaland. Music had always been a major part of her life. She took western classical piano classes from a very young age but her career plan was  different. She was initially preparing for a medical entrance examination and become a doctor but life certainly had other plans for her!
“To teach music  to children gives me the greatest pleasure in life. I cannot think of doing anything else besides this. This is my true calling!” says the enthusiastic pianist! She is a great fan of Chopin and Bach. 

Her area of expertise includes teaching young adults and forming deep positive lasting bond with them. With over ten years of experience in this field, she has mentored many students preparing them for international piano exams, including performances, recitals and concerts. 
Currently, she teaches piano at Harmony-The music school, Bengaluru, one of India’s premium music school.

The pianist adds that she came across a beautiful article  that states that music department is an alternate universe where pupils are often unrecognizable from who they are outside of it. The shy become confident. The agitated become calm. The lonely become included. The quiet become heard. And the lost become heard. Music reveals the real child.
