The Conference will cover the following topics:

1. The process of adaptation of musical education systems in Russia, CIS countries and Europe as dictated by Bologna Process;
2. The implementation of the credit system in different countries (discussion of practical issues relating to the experience);
3. Discussion of the national curriculum concerning musical education – the National Educational Standard – third revision;
4. Collecting information and exchanging opinions about the activities of the national music councils of countries in Europe, Asia, and America, whose major task concerns the following:

• children’s musical training;
• musical education of audience of classical music;
• widening the appeal of classical music;
• support of musical culture;
• musical training of children in state schools.
