Some of these were hosted together in astudents’ residence in the suburbs of the city. This resulted in them becoming closer with ties of a new friendship thatwould last, developing. The conversations that they were supporting, on theneeds of young people in the world of the music and musical education, were ofinformal character, given in the corridors of the Center of Congresses, inswimming pools or at dinners of the residence, but they encouraged the start ofan interesting project with future possibilities. |

My experience at the ISME – YPFG Research
Workshop in Malaysia!
Attending the ISME Conference in Malaysia,
like all the previous ISME conferences, created a forum for as many musicians to
meet so many other musicians from various diverse cultures and parts of the
world who converged together for a common cause. It was true ‘unity in
diversity’. It was exciting! ISME presented an excellent opportunity for me as
a person to build liaison with music education professionals from around the
world, and most especially for the first time, those in Malaysia and Asia as a
whole. This expanded my professional linkages for networking and collaboration
in the field of Music Education with an aim of professional growth and
development. It was exciting!
