The ISME Young Professionals Focus Group (YPFG) explores ways through
which ISME can better serve students and beginning music educators.
The group held its first meeting at the Tenerife Conference in 2004.
Since then, its work has been supported by a group of enthusiastic
young ISME members from many countries.
The ISME Young Professional Focus Group (YPFG) is organizing the following special sessions at the 29th ISME World Conference 2010 to be held in Beijing, China, 1-6 August, 2010.
A pilot project lead by Alex Ruthmann (Member of the ISME Web Management Committee), involves the Young Professionals Focus Group (YPFG) in developing a social network based on Ning.com technologies. This enable professionals of any age to meet online, exchange pedagogical, curricular and research ideas, and build a community in anticipation of in-person meetings in Bologna 2008. Please check out the site at http://ismeypfg.ning.com/ and join the discussions!
My experience at the ISME – YPFG Research
Workshop in Malaysia!
Attending the ISME Conference in Malaysia,
like all the previous ISME conferences, created a forum for as many musicians to
meet so many other musicians from various diverse cultures and parts of the
world who converged together for a common cause. It was true ‘unity in
diversity’.
